Apple’s new Beats Studio Buds+ are coming, and they’ll be available in an entirely new, transparent colorway.
We know because the new earbuds, a successor to the Beats Studio Buds which launched in 2021, showed up in an Amazon listing (via 9to5Mac(opens in a new tab)). The page was quickly removed, but Wayback Machine remembers, so you can still see the listing(opens in a new tab) in all its glory.
Besides the semi-transparent look, which extends both to the buds themselves and the case, the Beats Studio Buds+ will also be available in black and ebony, which is also a new color.

The transparent variant will inevitably draw comparisons with Nothing’s Ear (1) and Ear (2) earbuds, which are also semi-transparent. The main difference is that Nothing used clear plastic for the see-through parts, while Beats’ buds have matte plastic instead.
The Amazon listing also revealed a full list of specs, which includes improved active noise cancelling and transparency mode, up to 36 hours of battery life, and 3x larger mics for better call quality. Support for Spatial Audio is here, and buyers get four ear tip options (XS, S, M, and L) to choose from.
The Beats Studio Buds+ will start shipping on May 18 according to the listing, at a price of $169.95 – a slight increase from the regular Beats Studio Buds(opens in a new tab), which cost $149.99.
